The way that technology can be used to support and enrich the literacy lives of children and young people is an integral part of our work. So we have started to explore the impact of video games on children and young people’s literacy attitudes, behaviours and skills. It is illegal for a retailer to supply any game rated 12, 16 or 18 to anyone below the specified age. The PEGI age ratings enable parents and carers to make an informed choice when buying a game for their child. As an additional aid to parents and carers video games rated under the PEGI system will usually display information to explain why a game has been rated at a particular age level. Established in 2010 by some of the most experienced and talented developers in the UK industry, our mission is to make genre-defining video games for a global audience.
